The aim of this trip is to go beyond the normal vocational spots in which road trip is the main part of the tour. After a must-visit Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, start scenic drive to Bago, a capital of an ancient Mon-Kingdom in 15th Century and continue to Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda built on a granite boulder, the balancing rock seems to defy gravity, as it perpetually appears to be on the verge of rolling down the hill. Next heading points are Taungoo, the homeland of one of the most powerful post-Bagan dynasties and Nay Pyi Taw, the new capital of Myanmar.

Your trip to Loikaw will make you immersed in the local tradition and a visit to Pumpet Village with “long neck Padaung Women” will give you unique experience that can’t be found on a typical tour. The scenic boat trip in Inle Lake which is regarded as the magical lake by the photographers is full of breathtaking sceneries and unique style of Intha people can be observed as the most captivating attractions for travelers.

At the second capital, Mandalay, the heart of tradition and handicrafts, enjoyable traveling time will be easily spent exploring the ancient historic sites scattered around Mandalay, then you will be brought to Bagan, the richest archaeological zone in Asia where thousands of ancient temples and architecture lies.

Itinerary

Day 1Yangon Arrival + Sightseeing (by car)

Arrive at Yangon International Airport, welcome by our tour guide. On the way, visit to LawkaChantharArbayarLaba Muni Buddha Image (Kyauktawgyi) and Royal White Elephant camp. Check in to hotel and Yangon sightseeing; visit to Chaukhtatgyi (Reclining Buddha) Pagoda a colossal reclining Buddha, Karaweik Hall Royal barge on the Royal lake for photo stop, Yangon’s city center featuring Sule Pagoda at city center and colonial building, China Town with the fruit market and Yangon’s city center covering World famous Shwedagon Pagoda. Witness the golden dome light up sunshine at the sunset. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Day 2Yangon - Bago - Kyaikhtiyo (by car)

Early morning, after breakfast at hotel, drive to one of Myanmar’s landmarks, Kyaikhtiyo which is famous for its precarious position and religious importance. Kyaikhtiyo the “Golden Rock”, a huge boulder completely covered by gold leaf and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff. Arrive at the base camp of Kinpun and proceed to the Golden Rock by open truck about an hour mountain drive. Take a light trekking on the summit through bamboo forest. Enjoy sunset beauty on hill top and overnight at hotel in Kyaikhtiyo.

Day 3Kyaikhtiyo - Taungoo (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, drive to Taungoo a town ship of Bago region which was the homeland of one of the most powerful post-Bagan dynasties. Start Taungoo sighseeing to ShwesandawPagoda, Myasigone Pagoda, Kyaungmudaw Pagoda and Myatsawnyinaung Temples. Overnight at Taungoo.

Day 4Taungoo - Nay Pyi Taw (by car)

Have breakfast at hotel. Today’s heading point is Nay Pyi Taw which is 118 km far from Taungoo. After driving for 1 hours and 30 minutes, we will arrive Nay Pyi Taw. Visit to Nay Pyi Taw Myo Ma market which is commercial center of Nay Pi Taw at present time. Next proceed to zoological garden which is the largest zoo in Myanmar, Safari Park, Uppatasanti Pagoda which is similar in size and shape with Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon. Overnight at Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw.

Day 5Nay Pyi Taw - Loikaw (by car)

Have breakfast at hotel. Today’s plan is to proceed to Loikaw by car. Lokaw is 245 km far from Nay Pyi Taw and takes about 5 hours driving time. Arrival Loikaw, transfer to hotel and overnight.

Day 6Loi Kaw Sightseeing (by car)

Have breakfast at hotel. Today’s highlights are Demawso market, visiting to Padaung long neck Karen ladies who wear traditional brass rings on their necks and on other parts of their bodies. Then, visit Shan chieftains and Haw of Loikaw palace before transferring to hotel. Overnight at hotel in Loi Kaw.

Day 7Pumpet Village - Loikaw (by car)

Early morning after breakfast, an hour and half drive to Padaung native village “Pan-pet”. Only the Padaung races live in the village. Return to Loikaw and lunch at Loikaw. Evening, excursion to museum of Kayah state to observe the traditional ways of living of Kayah national races and next visit to Buddhist stupas on Taung Kwe hill-lock. Evening is the time to enjoy the sunset and panoramic view of Loikaw. Overnight in Loikaw.

Day 8Loi Kaw - Inle Lake (by car and boat)

After breakfast at Hotel, start sightseeing to visit Pa Kyae San Pya village where visitor can observe field of Takon Dhaing (Flagpole of Nat (spirit) and daily life of the villagers and it daily market. Proceed to Mya Kalat Hill. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, check out the hotel and proceed to Phe Khone by coach. Upon arrival at Phe Khone Jetty, transfer into boat to take amazing 6 hrs trip to Inle Lake. Visit Tha Kaung pagoda and lunch at Inn Paw Khone village at local restaurant, proceed to hand-weaving factory where traditional costumes are producing, product like Lotus, silk and cotton. Then visit blacksmith and cheroot making factory. Then overnight in Inle Lake.

Day 9Indein

After breakfast at hotel, visit the Indein Pagoda is located near the Indein creek; it is narrow and has many twists and turns. Paddy field around the creek receive water from the creek. Here our beat start venturing into a small canal and pass through the beautiful scenery on the way to Pa O Hill tribe village. After visiting the local market, we enjoy walk to the very impressive ruins containing hundred ancient pagodas, some of which are hidden in the lush vegetation and overnight at hotel in Inle.

Day 10Inle - Heho - Mandalay - Amarapura - Ava - Sagaing (by flight, car & boat)

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for the flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival, drive to Mahagandayon Monastery where hundreds of young Novice (Sanga) studying Buddhist Literatures with strictly obeying rule and regulation of the Monastery according to Buddha teaching. In the afternoon, cross the small river by ferry boat to make joyful excursion by horse cart at Ava (Innwa); it was one of ancient Myanmar capitals before British annexation in 1885. Next, proceed to Sagaing Hill, which is perhaps the living center of Buddhist faith in Myanmar today. Hillsides are dotted with numerous Pagodas and Monasteries. Continue to visit Khaungmudaw Pagoda. Then, transfer back to U-Beinbridge and enjoy sunset before going back to Hotel.

Day 11Mandalay - Mingun - Mandalay (by car & boat)

After breakfast at hotel, depart Mandalay on a private boat along the Ayeyarwaddy River to visit Mingun, a village on the west bank of the river. Visit to Settawya Pagoda, Mingun Pahtotawgyi, the world-renowned ringing Mingun Bell and Myatheintan Pagoda.

In the afternoon, visit to Mahamuni Pagoda, Kyauktawgyi Pagoda a large Buddha image carved out of a single block of marble, Shwenandaw Monastery (Golden Palace) noted for its exquisite wood carving, Kuthodaw Pagoda known as the world’s Biggest Book for its stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures. Mandalay Palace and in the evening enjoy the sunset from Mandalay Hill. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.

Day 12Mandalay - Bagan (by flight & car)

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport and fly to Bagan. For sightseeing includes visit to the colorful Nyaung U Market, Shwezigon Pagoda and its magnificent golden stupa, Htilominlo Temple noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sand stone decoration, Gubyaukgyi Temple, with superb mural paintings of jataka scenes. Visit to Myinkaba Village and observe the process of Traditional Lacquer ware Industry one of Myanmar’s best-known handicrafts, Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece of the early-style temple with four impressive standing Buddha images. Thabinnyu Temple, the highest temple in Bagan, Dhammayangyi Temple noted for its remarkable brickwork. Proceed to sunset platform to enjoy sunset. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.

Day 13Bagan - Yangon (by flight & car)

After breakfast at hotel, proceed to airport for the flight back to Yangon. The remainder of the day is for your leisure. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.
