Day 01:Yangon sightseeing Arrive at Yangon International Airport, welcome by our tour guide. Welcome
by KST representative on arrival and transfer to hotel. Check in to hotel
and Yangon sightseeing; visit to Chaukhtatgyi (Reclining Buddha) Pagoda a
colossal reclining Buddha, Karaweik Hall Royal barge on the Royal lake for
photo stop, Yangon's city center featuring Sule Pagoda at city center and
colonial building, drive in downtown visit China Town with the fruit
market and Yangon's city center covering World famous Shwedagon Pagoda.
Witness the golden dome light up sunshine at the sunset.
Day 02:Bagan
Early morning transfer to airport and fly to Bagan. For sightseeing
includes visit to the colorful Nyaung U Market, Shwezigon Pagoda and its
magnificent golden stupa, Htilominlo Temple noted for its fine plaster
carvings and glazed sand stone decoration, Gubyaukgyi Temple, with superb
mural paintings of jataka scenes. Visit to Myinkaba Village and observe
the process of Traditional Lacquer ware Industry one of Myanmar's
best-known handicrafts. Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece of the
early-style temple with four impressive standing Buddha images. Thabinnyu
Temple, the highest temple in Bagan, Dhammayangyi Temple noted for its
remarkable brickwork. Enjoy sunset over the site from the upper terrace of
Shwesandaw Pagoda.
Day 03:Mandalay Early morning, transfer to airport for Yangon to Mandalay by flight.
Arrive Mandalay and check in to hotel. Mandalay full day sightseeing;
visit to Mahamuni Pagoda, Kyauktawgyi Pagoda a large Buddha image carved
out of a single block of marble, Shwenandaw Monastery (Golden Palace)
noted for its exquisite wood carving, Kuthodaw Pagoda known as the world's
Biggest Book for its stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures. Mandalay Palace
and in the evening enjoy the sunset from Mandalay Hill.
Day 04:Inle lake
Early morning transfer to airport and fly to Heho. Drive to Inle lake and
sightseeing by boat. Visit to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, Floating Gardens,
Unique Leg-rowers, Traditional Fishing Method, Silk Weaving, Stilt House
Villages on the lake and Nge Pe Chaung (Jamping Cat) Monastery.
Day 05:Kalaw & Pindaya Drive to Kalaw and Pindaya. Kalaw sightseeing and proceed to Pindaya,
through picturesque scenery. Visit Pindaya caves, Pindaya lakes; home base paper
making and umbrella making industry. Next proceed to the famous Inle Lake, the
residence of the Intha People and a kind of water would.
Day 06:Yangon
Early morning transfer to airport and fly back to Yangon from Heho.
Afternoon Yangon sightseeing visit to National Museum, Botataung Pagoda,
Nanthida Jetty and watch the traffic on the Yangon River.
Day 07:Yangon-Phnom Penh( via Bangkok) Morning shopping at Gems and Handicrafts shops. Visit to Bogyoke Aung San
(Scott) Market where you can buy many souvenirs. And then transfer to Airport for
departure from Yangon. On arrival to Phnom Penh, welcome by our local tour guide on arrival and
transfer to hotel.
Day 08: Phnom Penh The next day we discover Cambodia's refreshing and re-invented capital,
Phnom Penh, visiting the beautiful Grand Palace and the Silver Pagoda.
Later explore the fascinating Khmer National Museum, and end our touring
at Tuol Sleng museum, a stark reminder of the horror of Pol Pot's reign.
The rest of the afternoon is free to explore this intriguing riverside
capital.
Day 09: Siem Reap & Lake Tonle Sap Fly to Siem Reap, gateway to the magnificent Temples of Angkor, and
launching point for our afternoon cruise on vast Tonle Sap Lake with its
floating villages. Before sunset, enter the Angkor complex for stunning
temple views.
Day 10: Temples Of Angkor The next day we rise early to witness sunrise over the world's largest
sacred building and architectural masterpiece, Angkor Wat. We then begin
our exploration of the other main temples of Angkor. Visit the fortified
city of Angkor Thom and the huge central towers of the Bayon. We also
spend time at the jungle-covered Ta Prohm and the exquisitely carved
Banteay Srei temples. Transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
Day 11- 12: Saigon, Mekong Delta & Cu Chi
Walk Saigon's wide and historic boulevards, visiting famous landmarks
such as Hotel de Ville, the former Presidential Palace and lively
Chinatown. In the afternoon we travel to Cu Chi and explore the tunnel
system built by Communist soldiers during the Vietnam War. Our journey
then takes us to the Mekong Delta, where we walk among lush fruit orchards
and take a sampan along the intricate waterways of the Mekong River.
Day 13: Hue Flying to Hue, the former capital and home to Vietnam's last imperial
dynasty, we travel by dragon boat along the Perfume River to the 16th
century Thien Mu Pagoda. See the impressive tomb of former Emperor Tu Duc
and the ruins of the former royal residence, the Hue Citadel.
Day 14 - 15: China Beach & Hoi An
Take the coastal drive south over spectacular Hai Van Pass. In Danang
we visit the Cham museum before travelling the short distance south to
China Beach. Continue to the quaint merchant town of Hoi An, where we walk
narrow lanes visiting markets, historic houses and local cottage
industries. In the evening, you have a chance to try your hand at
Vietnamese cooking at a friend's restaurant. Enjoy a cruise on tranquil
Thu Bon River and explore further at your leisure.
Day 16- 18 : Hanoi & Halong Bay
Fly north to Hanoi, Vietnam's gracious capital. Examine the life of Ho
Chi Minh, the father of modern Vietnam visiting the Ho Chi Minh museum and
mausoleum and the simple wooden home in which he lived. We also visit the
11th century Temple of Literature and the Old Quarter, a maze of 36
ancient streets where peddlers trade their wares as they have since the
Middle Ages. We enjoy an evening performance by Hanoi's famous water
puppets. We also travel to Halong Bay, Vietnam's spectacular World
Heritage site, and cruise among the thousands of limestone islands in the
bay.
Day 19 -20 : Vientiane Leave Hanoi and Vietnam and fly to the Lao capital, Vientiane.
Vientiane is a sleepy riverside capital and a welcome antidote to the fast
pace of Vietnam. We explore Vientiane and visit famous sights such as That
Luang and Wat Sisaket. We'll walk through the colourful central market and
have free time to explore the streets or relax.
Day 21 -23: Luang Prabang & Pak Ou Caves
Morning fly north to the charming former capital, Luang Prabang.
Nestled among mountains at the confluence of the Mekong and Khan Rivers,
this delightful town has a unique and special charm. We visit the former
Royal Palace, walk up Mt Phu Si and travel by boat through beautiful
mountain scenery to the caves of Pak Ou. Visit Kuang Si falls, take part
in a fun cooking class and stop at Hmong hill tribe villages. And of
course, you will have free time for your own exploring.
Day 24: Bangkok
On arrival at Don Muang Airport, you are met and transferred to hotel. The
glorious history of Thai Capital, Bangkok is much interwoven with the
Chakri dynasty which still reigns but no longer rules Thailand. In the
midst of dynamic modern growth, this bustling metropolis still preserves
plenty of cultural heritages making it the national treasure house. No
activities planned for this afternoon , however our guide is on hand to
advise some available options.
Day 25: Chiang Mai The journey northwards begins as we board a flight to Chiang Mai.
After checking into hotel we drive west towards the famous Doi Suthep
Mountain and embark on a walk leading us to Wat Prathat Temple near the
summit. At an elevation of over 1,000 m , the temple grounds affords a
panoramic view over the surrounding countryside. We follow this with a
visit to the old and new parts of the town featuring the great diversity.
The "Rose of the North", Chiang Mai has been always noted for exquisite
handicrafts whose the combination with the traditional wares of the hill
tribe people offers fantastic shopping opportunities. We drive this
afternoon to the neighbouring villages of Sankampaeng and Borsarng to see
the various cottages industries including silk weaving, wood carving,
silver ware and umbrellas making.
Day 26: Chiang Rai An early morning departure to Chiang Rai. The drive is long but views
are fantastic. On arrival we embark on a longtail boat for a thrilling
trip upstream on the Mae Kok River, passing through many breathtaking
mountain landscape to a Karen hilltribe village. This ethnic group
originated from Burma, but had settled there long time ago, forming the
largest tribal population in northern Thailand. After seeing a traditional
house we enjoy a two hour elephant ride back through the jungle to the Yao
and Akha Hilltribes, who still retain their age old cultural traditions
and are recognisably distinct from each other by their dress.
Day 27: Chiang Rai-Golden Triangle
The royal capital of the ancient Lanna Kingdom, Chiang Saen is nestled
on the Mekong riverbank which is now the border between Thailand and Laos.
Today we travel by roads to Chiang Saen with a stopover at Ban Kiu Kaan ,
a white Hmong ethnic minority village close to Chieng Khong. Arriving in
Chiang Saen we visit the town's major sights, including Wat Phrathat Jom
Kitti, Wat Chedi Luang and a nearby museum. Heading out of the town we
drive through some verdant and rugged mountain scenery to the famous
Golden Triangle in which powerful warlords have fought for control the
opium trade. After exploring the border town of Mae Sai we return to
Chiang Rai for flying back to the capital city.
Day 28: Bangkok Departure
There is a free time for your own exploration of the town and catching
up on some shopping areas. The trip ends after transfer to airport for
departure.
